EdgeWater Powerboats launch new diesel inboard
EdgeWater Powerboats have just annouced the launch of a new model - a 23 foot inboard diesel centre console.
The new 228CCD is powered by a Yanmar 180hp stern drive engine, delivering up to 36 miles an hour, whilst allowing an economic 12 MPG at lower speeds. With the same technology and desgin features in the rest of the EdgeWater range, the 228CCD delivers performance, economy, comfort and versitility in one boat.

Hamble Point Marina New & Used Boat Show weekend
The weekend of 20 - 22 April sees the first all signing all dancing Hamble Point Marina New & Used Boat Show. The weekend is planned to be a family event, and has already attracted various brands for display, therfore will be a fantastic opportunity to compare.
We will be displaying a large range of Dufours, our Minor 25 Offshore will be on the water for sea trails, along with our EdgeWater 228CC.

First of Neilson's new boats on her way
The first of Neilson Active Holidays' new yachts, a Dufour 405 Grand Large, is on her way down to the South of France for commissioning by our overseas team. She may be battling her way through snow as we speak, but she is going here to a beautiful little marina in Frejus for a couple fo weeks R&R before heading off for Nidri.

Dufour 445 Grand Large review
US Magazine Cruising World have just published a review of the Dufour 445 Grand Large, tested at Chesapeake Bay in 20 knots of breeze. They loved the fingertip control and feedback from the twin wheels. Down below, the light interior won praise, along with the spacious owners cabin.

Richard elected as ABYA accredited member
Richard Poulson, MD of Marco Marine, has just been elected as a full Accredited Broker member of ABYA, the Association of Brokers and Yacht Agents. To become an elected member Richard has had to provide experience and history to ABYA and be approved by a committee.

ARC results update
The Dufour 45e Performance 'Chosen One' has now been given the final results from their class in the ARC 2011; they did indeed win Group B but have come 8th overall not 21st as we previously though. A stunning result for the boat, her crew and very proud owners! Well done to Graham and Linda from Richard and all the team at Marco Marine.
Dufours sweep the board in the ARC Cruiser class B
In addition to 'Chosen One' Taking first place in the ARC cruising class B, Marco Marine would like to extend their congratulations to 'Carrot' and 'Clearlake II', both Dufour 455 Grand Larges, who placed 13th and 7th respectively.
Dufour Yachts & London Boat Show
Dufour Yachts are displaying the full range of boats at Dusseldorf Boat Show on 21 to 29 January 2011. The decision has been taken not to attend London Boat Show this year but at Marco Marine we can view and demonstrate on virtually the whole range here at Hamble Point Marina.

First Dufour 335 Grand Large sold in the UK
Marco Marine has sold the first Dufour 335 Grand Large in the UK, being handed over to its new owner early next year. The Dufour 335 is a two cabin, twin wheel fast cruiser and we are handing the boat over to its new owner in February.
Two new EdgeWater dealers in the UK
Marco Marine has appointed two new EdgeWater dealers in the UK. Nick Stratton Yachts, based at Rhu Marina will be selling these seaworthy, unsinkable boats in Scotland whilst Yachtshop will be covering Wales from their base at Holyhead Marina.

Dufour 445 Grand Large nominated for European Yacht of the Year
The new Dufour 445 Grand Large, which was supplied by Marco Marine for its debut at Southampton Boat Show this year, has been nominated for European Yacht of the Year 2011/12. The announcement of the winning boat will take place at Dusseldorf Boat Show in January.

Dufour 45e wins its class in the ARC race
The Dufour 45e 'Chosen One' has won Cruising Class B, five hours ahead of the next boat in. They were also placed a very impressive 21st overall in the cruising division.
Chosen One is a locally owned boat, commissioned and handed over in April 2011.
Minor Offshore 28 shortlisted for award
Marco Marine are pleased to announce the fantastic Minor Offshore 28 has been shortlisted in the Motor Boat of the Year awards in the 'Best Wheelhouse and Walk around' category.
The award ceremony takes place in early January so watch this space for more news!
Dufour 45e leads the way in its ARC class
A Dufour 45e, handed over by Marco Marine earlier this year, is leading class B in the ARC. Chosen One is currently an Impressive 120nm on front of the next boat in class B. With the current positioning, three of the top ten boats in this class are Dufours!
Also doing incredibly well is Clearlake II, a Dufour 455 commissioned by us three years ago.

Spares for sale
It's that time of year when everyone thinks about a pre-winter clear out and we are no different. We recently had a good sort out of our store and, as a result, have various spares for sale at greatly reduced prices. The list includes a main for a 405, a full set of saloon cushion covers in blue, also for a 405; cream Alcantara saloon cushions for a 325 and 40e; Dufour melamine crockery (sets and make ups), booms and spinnaker poles.

Marco Marine are delighted to annouce the appointment of a Scottish dealer for the Minor range of all season boats in Scotland. Nick Stratton Yachts at Rhu Marina have been selected to represent Minor in partnership with Marco Marine, the UK importer.
Marco Marine and Neilson Active Holidays
During a stunningly successful Southampton Boat Show, Marco Marine have signed a contract to provide Neilson Active Holidays with further Dufour boats for their Mediterranean fleet. We will be providing six Dufour 375 Grand Large and one Dufour 405 Grand Large for their 2012 season due to the successful booking levels on their Dufour fleet.
We are delighted to be selected by Neilson, part of the Thomas Cook group, to again provide them with both yachts and our invaluable level of service, back up and flexibility.
Marco Marine announced as Dufour dealers for the South West
Today Marco Marine have been annouced as the new Dufour dealer for the South West of England and Southern Wales.
Richard Poulson (MD), when hearing the news, stated 'I am really delighted to have this opportunity to once again work with past, current and potential Dufour owners down in the South West. Whilst we are actively looking for a base in that area, Marco Marine is large enough, with enough contacts and relationships, to be able to actively assist any Dufour owners with our usual excellent level of customer service'.
As you may know, Richard used work with Dufour in Plymouth, therefore is taking the Marco Marine philosophy of customer service back to the South West.
